  • When @aracelysbakery reached out to the Port Ministries for a special art project, we turned to one of the studio artist, Mayra Hernandez (@masuhe). Mayra is the co-owner of the Back of the Yards Coffeehouse, a Hope House resident, and an overall amazing talent!

Showing love to the @chicagobulls, Mayra transformed this cart in a matter of days! Swipe to see the before picture!

Aracely’s Bakery is a family owned bakery and huge supporters of our ministries. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Aracely’s has been in the frontlines helping and donating to our Bread Truck program! We can’t thank them enough for this opportunity and support!

We will continue to provide the community our core services during Chicago’s Stay at Home order due to COVID-19. If you would like to get involved, call 773.778.5955. If you are able to support, visit www.theportministries.org/support.

  • A HUGE thank you to our Franciscan partners at St. Clare of Montefalco.
Along with making sandwiches to distribute off Bread Truck, our Capuchin partners donated new equipment to our kitchen, like this deli slicer, so we may better serve the needs of our community. We cannot thank them enough for their faith and support during these challenges times!

  • Every Tuesday at 6pm, The Port Ministries continues to provide a very humble Free Health Clinic run by passionate Medical Professional Volunteers. They provide chronic disease management, urgent care, minor laboratory testing, pharmaceutical administration, physicals and referrals. Our clinic remains dedicated to treating adult community members who may be uninsured, underinsured, documented and undocumented for free with no appointment required. All walk-in who arrive will be seen by our medical staff.
